Why is the 11th-12th grade mission trip in Alaska this year?

  • Every year the 11th-12th grade students go on an international mission trip. Due to current global pandemic, we are not able to travel internationally at this time. We are able to travel within the US and so the youth parent committee and youth staff began looking for mission trip opportunities in the US. We have used Praying Pelican Missions on a past trip and they offer in 2021 an Alaska mission trip, so we made the change for 2021 to Alaska.

Why is the trip during the summer and not during spring break?

  • Due to current sports schedules, spring break has become a busy time and a number of students/parents have informed us that they cannot attend a mission trip during spring break due to these events. We are responding to the feedback we have received and have moved the 11th-12th grade mission trip to summer for 2021 and possibly for the foreseeable future.

What COVID-19 precautions are being taken?
